Comedy Club Night Yields a Donation not to be Laughed At!
On April 30th, the Barnegat Rotary Club held its 2nd annual Comedy For A Cause Night and selected the Humanity Preservation Foundation as one of two recipients to receive the proceeds from the show as a donation. We are proud to announce that two days ago (June 15th), the Barnegat Rotary Club presented Rhett Hackett with a check of $2,800! Who is The Educator Now!?
When we started this foundation we fully anticipated that it would be a vehicle to help educate parents, students, and caregivers. What I didn't anticipate was that others would then become educators themselves and even more intense is that one of them would be my beautiful niece Breanna Horner. She chose the topic of child sexual abuse for her senior project, inspired by mine and her mothers history of abuse. Barnegat Rotary 2nd Annual Comedy for a Cause
Humanity Preservation Foundation is proud to announce that Barnegat Rotary has selected our organization as well as David’s Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation as recipients to receive funds raised at their 2nd Annual Comedy for a Cause event The event will be held on April 30th from 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM at the Holiday Inn in Manahawkin, NJ. Performers for this event are two comedians from Uncle Vinnie’s Comedy Club and they are Mick Thomas and Joe Currie. HPF Gets “Twitchy” for Camp Twitch & Shout
Ehett Hackett at Camp Twitch & Shout Fundraiser HPF took part in the 3rd annual fundraiser for Camp Twitch & Shout by purchasing a table and attending the event and supporting awareness of those affected with Tourette’s syndrome. Each year, children get to attend this one week camp at Camp Twitch and Shout in which they get to relax and be themselves without the fear of being made fun of or bullied in an environment that helps to build self-esteem.
